The popularity of above ground pools md wv has risen sharply in the last decade. There are numerous sizes and styles to choose from. The setup on most models can be done by the homeowner. There are pools in just about everyones price range. This has made the popularity of the above ground pool soar.

Above ground pools are nowhere near as expensive to purchase or to maintain as in ground ones. With these, you also have the option of removing the swimming pool anytime you wish whereas an in ground one is permanent. They also require less space than an in ground ones. The drawback is, an above ground pool is fantastic for water games, floating, relaxing and cooling down but if you want to swim laps you are probably going to want a deeper pool than you can get above ground.

Generally above ground pools are either round in shape or oval. You can choose from soft sides to hard sides though. The sizes go all the way up to a 21 inch by 41 inch with the most commonly purchased being a 24 inch round. The amount of space you have to place your pool in as well as the sales price will help you decide which shape and size is right for your needs.

Most of these types of pools require a vinyl liner to hold the water. The liner you select can be as unique as your pool itself. You can purchase a plain blue liner or you can purchase liners to replicate the look of marble, brick and other decorative designs. Usually the liner will overlap the top of the pool with a trim piece to hold it in place. The biggest concern with the liner is that it will be torn or punctured by a sharp object.

When you are choosing the location for such a pool, try and keep it away from tall trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tree could be a cleaning and maintenance nightmare. Somewhere on your property where you can get the benefit of full sun exposure is usually the best choice.

Try and pick a spot that is as level and flat as possible. You may have to do some dirt work in order to make the spot you have chosen level. This is important if you want to avoid any water spillages from the pool.

These types of pools are usually sold in packages including the pump, liner, and filter system. This makes it convenient for the consumer to purchase the pool and all the necessary components easily. For sanitation and to increase the life of your pool you will need to keep it clean.

You should always read the manufacturers recommendations for the correct way to clean and care for your pool. Clearing leaves and debris will be a daily task but once you get the PH stabilized you will only add chemicals to your pool periodically. So, long term maintenance and will not be a huge problem.
